America's first lady michelle obama - Opinion in the south

In the South, opinion about First Lady Michelle Obama has lots to do with political affiliation, according to a new poll. Nearly 78 percent of Democrats had a favorable opinion of Mrs. Obama compared to only 26.2 percent of Republicans, according to the Winthrop University survey.
Independents favored Mrs. Obama by 55.4 percent to bring her on the whole favorable rating to 53.2 percent.
Among Democrats, only 18.2 percent were undecided about Mrs. Obama comparing with 51.1 percent for Republicans and 26.9 percent for independents.
The poll of 866 adults 18 years old and over was taken between Oct. 24-Nov. 7 in 11 Southern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. The poll included respondents with mobile phone and land lines. The margin of fault is plus or minus 3.33 percent.
